Caged bears finally get to breathe in fresh air

Four bears were cages for decades in a local Pennsylvania zoo. They were even compelled to perform tricks to entertain the visitors. When the zoo was closed down because it violated animal rights, the condition of these bears became even worse for they were now confined in small enclosures and never let out. When PETA came to know about the situation, they intervened and consulted with veterinarians. Once it was established that it was safe for these ears to travels and there was no risk involved, they were transferred to an open wildlife sanctuary in Colorado, where they now enjoy the freedom they longed for.
